For over 50
years, the Sea Mist Resort has been a fixture in the Myrtle Beach resort
industry. Starting out as a seasonal, 9-unit oceanfront hotel in the 1950’s, Sea
Mist Resort has grown into one of the largest resorts in present-day Myrtle
Beach.
In 2006, the Sea
Mist Resort announced a massive redevelopment project that included over 1,500
new luxury oceanfront and ocean-view condos spanning over 12 oceanfront acres.
This new mixed-use development project will be developed over 7 phases, and will
feature 20,000+ square feet of shops and restaurants and Myrtle Beach’s
largest resort water park.
The Sea Mist is
conveniently located just 2.5 miles from Myrtle Beach Intl Airport, 2.7 miles
from the wildly popular
Market Common, 3.2 miles from Coastal Grand Mall, and
3.8 miles from Broadway at the Beach; with the majority of the areas attractions
located within 5 miles of the Sea Mist Resort.
Redevelopment
begins with the conversion of the Driftwood and Tides oceanfront buildings,
taking advantage of the 268 existing oceanfront units. Each individual unit will
receive a complete overhaul including all new finishes, and public spaces will
receive a complete redesign and be equipped with high-speed elevators to better
serve your needs. The location of
the Sea Mist Resort is key, located just south of all the hustle of downtown
Myrtle Beach.
The redevelopment
of the Sea Mist resort is being headed by Strand Capital Group, LLC, which will
implement and oversee the 7 phase project. Strand
Capital Group has an impressive track record of successful resort developments
in and around Myrtle Beach, and is dedicated to preserving the reputation and
charm of the Sea Mist Resort.
Update:
The initial phase of the Sea Mist Resort Development project has undergone a
complete redesign. Phase I - the Oasis building, has been relocated to sit
directly on the oceanfront as opposed to its original placement behind the
Driftwood and Tides buildings. In addition to its new location, each individual
unit is set to receive many interior upgrades including larger, more spacious
floor plans, and increased ceiling height. |
